TinyMCE

Quicktime Plugin

This is a plug-in for TinyMCE to facilitate easy creation and placement of quicktime video content. It takes in a url (relative or absolute) and author-defined video display size parameters, and it writes all necessary HTML code to support the information provided. If no sizes are given, it assumes 100x100 video playback size (in order to have something to look at while the author figures out what size to actually give). Placeholders, sized to the appropriate dimensions, are displayed in the TinyMCE editor window. Additional tags are included in the HTML to allow more finite control over presentation.

MySpace Plugin

This is a plug-in for TinyMCE to facilitate easy creation and placement of MySpace video content. This plug-in plays nicely with my others. Unfortunately, however, MySpace video is actually "flash" content in disguise, and the Flash plug-in (bundled with TinyMCE) is incredibly greedy. Therefore, if you turn on the Flash plug-in, your existing MySpace content will be re-assimilated as Flash content (until you turn it back off). At some point, I may try to introduce a less greedy implementation of the Flash plug-in, but until then the MySpace plugin is best for those who aren't already using the Flash plug-in to handle their content.
