The Tree House Lives!

January 1, 2009 - 3:53pm
Now that we’ve moved to Greenwich, CT, we had the opportunity to resurrect the tree house, (we were forced to tear it down after a flood 6 months ago in our old building).  We started at 6 am Dec 23rd and finished around 8pm the same day.  We still have to set up our work areas and finish decorating, I’ll post those pics when we’re done.  But for now, here are a few of our construction on the 23rd. 6 A.M. Pre-construction 9 A.M. Nick’s better side 11 A.M.  One side completed 2 P.M. Who gave Pete the saw? 4 P.M.  Laying down the decking 7 P.M.  Putting up the the sign 8 P.M.  Clean up

Lilah Avery Carroll - Born November 25th, 2008

December 10, 2008 - 7:41am
So I normally only post animation related stuff to this site, but I couldn’t resist posting a pic of our most recent addition to the family.  I’m a proud father of two girls now, Hannah, 2 years old, and Lilah, 2 weeks old.  They’ve been keeping us busy, and we’re loving every minute of it.  I can’t resist posting a pic of Hannah too, here are two recent fall pics.  Hope everyone has a happy and healthy holiday season!

December 10, 2008 - 7:20am
So while I was out on paternity leave recently my Treehouse buds completed episode 5, their version of how I got the nickname “Pimpcane”.  Inaccurate, but very funny.  I commend them on a job well done.  Thanks guys, love ya!  Click on the image below to watch it.

Treehouse Studios - Episode 1 is up!

November 3, 2008 - 6:59pm
Check it out here:  http://treehousestudios.wordpress.com/ We created this blog to make light of all that goes into making an animated feature. Since each event effects people differently, we thought we would tell our stories through the eyes of 4 contrasting animation stereotypes. Since each one of us closely resembles one of these personalities, we couldn’t help but make fun of ourselves. DISCLAMER: This blog is meant to be fun, and possibly educational. The events depicted in these movies are fictitious. Similarity to any person or studio, living or dead, is merely coincidental. Especially if it’s you we are making fun of!!! P.S. By no means do we think we’re any good at this puppet stuff, we’re just having fun.

Mike Kunkel!

September 17, 2008 - 2:25pm
We just had a guest lecture at Blue Sky Studios and it was Mike Kunkel!  He was so inspiring.  Everyone walked out of there totally jazzed.  If you’re unfamiliar with his work check out the below links.  He’s one amazing artist/storyteller.  Enjoy! http://www.lunchbags.blogspot.com/ http://www.theastonishfactory.blogspot.com/ http://www.kunkelshazam.blogspot.com http://www.animationartconservation.com/herobear.html
